Let's Grow this Movement

Giving Tuesday is Growing Community

Beefy Resilient Grex Beans
#GivingTuesday on December 3rd is a global giving movement that has communities around the world support the causes they believe in. In an increasingly divided world,  #GivingTuesday represents a new global ritual based in joy and hope. Seeds have always represented joy and hope.

Share your love of seeds and seed libraries.

Let's grow this movement and let's grow some seeds!

Help plant seeds and grow a community!
2020 is time to take the seed libraries movement to the next level. Whether you are just getting started or a well-established seed library, Cool Beans! want to support you to grow your seeds and your community.

Here are some ideas that are germinating:
- Online webinars
- Online forum to share ideas and resources
- A book club to discuss seed saving, seed breeding, or adapting to climate change

Let us know what will help you grow your community.
seedlibrarysummitNational Seed Library Summit Recap
About 35 seed librarians met September 11th at the National Heirloom Expo for the 9th annual Seed Librarians' Summit.  It was exciting to hear what people were up to. There were three break out sessions:

- Story of Seeds
- Starting & Maintaining a Seed Library

There was an interest in having a day-long conference next year. This could possibly be done on the Friday after the Heirloom Expo as many people from around the country come out for the Expo and would allow the weekend to travel home or explore the San Francisco Bay Area. Interested? Let us know what will help you grow your community
